Jakarta Expo 2045 imagines a World Expo hosted in Jakarta with the theme Innovation Within Limitation and Embracing Identities. The identity reflects the structured overwhelm of the city — dense, dynamic, yet intentional. Jakarta’s obsession with patterns, so ingrained it goes unnoticed, shapes the visual system, with typography translated into patterns.

IDN 100
Brand Identity

The other half of a speculative branding project, IDN 100 imagines Jakarta as a sunken tourist destination. By the time Indonesia’s 100th Independence Day arrives, the city has long become a tropical summer getaway — where tourism is the last industry keeping it afloat. The event adds a layer of national celebration to this new reality, marked by festive activities that blend nostalgia and spectacle.

Its bold and curious identity is rooted in simplicity, reflective of the intuitive and engaging nature of the app. The name ‘Palate’ serves as a blank canvas for dynamic motion and vibrant imagery, capturing the fun of the culinary world. The brand celebrates the joy of exploration, inspiring users to step outside their comfort zones while always ensuring an enjoyable experience.
